Location:  Robbinsville, NJ or Marmora, NJ
 
Job Summary:  Seeking a Coastal engineer (P.E. required) with 10+ years’ experience in design and implementation of coastal resiliency projects including beach and marsh restoration projects. Working knowledge of Civil3D required. Experience necessary in the preparation of construction bid documents, construction inspection, land use permitting, coastal permitting in the mid-Atlantic region. Position includes stakeholder engagement with local, state and federal project sponsors. Technical area leadership, staff mentorship and project management may additionally be required to support/promote local clients through the publication of project reports and presentations.   
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:               

  • Project design, and management, of coastal engineering projects, budgets, timelines, and staff.
  • Resiliency Project Development.
  • Maintain Company reputation for coastal resiliency technical excellence.
  • Conduct coastal engineering analyses and assessments to support project planning and design.
  • Develop and implement strategies for shoreline protection, erosion control, and flood risk reduction.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on coastal development projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform coastal modeling and simulations to evaluate the impact of proposed interventions.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, and regulatory changes relevant to coastal engineering.
 
Qualifications (Education and Experience):
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Coastal Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineering License (NJ minimum, PA and other states desired).
  • Proven experience in coastal engineering projects, including design, analysis, and implementation.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools for coastal modeling and engineering design.
  • CADD, GIS, sediment transport modelling capability a plus
  • Boating experience and Boating Safety Certificate a plus 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration and client interactions.
  • Familiarity with local and federal regulations related to coastal engineering projects.
  • Must be organized, motivated, and reliable
  • Must be willing to work overtime on a limited basis to meet client needs
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to obtain government clearance
  • Must be able to pass drug and alcohol tests
